What the Foundation funds
Programmes
From Potential to Participation
Practical training, placement and enterprise development pathways that help young people participate meaningfully in Africa's food and agriculture economy.
Why It Matters
The Imperative for Skilled Agriculturalists
Africa's agricultural sector holds vast potential, and a new generation is ready to unlock it. Skilled and innovative young agriculturalists can meet climate change, food insecurity and limited access to technology and resources with innovation, productivity and enterprise.
With the knowledge, skills and entrepreneurial spirit these programmes build, young people drive sustainable agricultural practices, enhance productivity and power the economic and social development of their communities.
The programmes the Foundation funds meet a critical need for skilled and knowledgeable agricultural professionals who contribute to increased productivity, food security and environmental sustainability, empowering individuals, transforming communities and driving sustainable agricultural development in South Africa and across the African continent.
Building Capability Through Practice
All programmes are linked to the programmes offered by African Greeneurs. The Josudan Foundation provides financial resources for entrepreneur development and innovation.
African Greeneurs offers training and development programmes that focus on capacity building. They develop competitiveness aimed at meaningful, long-term participation in the mainstream food supply value chain by the majority of young people in South Africa and the African continent.
